WPVA group definition and General Etiquette to be upheld by all members. What is a WPVA member?  A WPVA member is someone who is coached by a WPVA Coach, it's as simple as that!  Our current coaches are Ed Thompson, Sam H.Smith and Liam Hillier.
What do you get as a member?
1. You get 1st access to poles
2. Tailor made plans, where necessary 
3. Top level coaching from a team led By Mr Thompson who has a lifetime of experience

Etiquette:

  • Respect - Be polite at all times, speak as you wish to be spoken too
  • Language - Age Appropriate language to be used at all times, our group is of mixed age, levels and development - young to Masters!  Please use appropriate language and conversation - NO SWEARING
  • Equality - everyone is equal in this group, no one is better than anyone else, and we should all be supportive at all times 
  • Clothing - Wear appropriate clothing at all times
  • Equipment - if you borrow equipment, We expect it back next session.  NO EXCEPTIONS,  unless discussed with a WPVA coach first. If the equipment has been damaged through neglect, you will be expected to replace it
  • Facilities - when using the facilities, please respect the other events going on and leave areas clean and tidy.
  • Show respect by listening to your coaches, they are giving up their time freely and are there to help you

  • Offer an inclusive environment where everyone is heard 
  • Provide the coaching required for each individual athlete at the appropriate level and to the best of our ability 
  • Provide poles and bags for necessary competitions 
  • Provide the necessary equipment for your training and to help you achieve targets 
  • Provide support (where needed/requested) to an appropriate level
  • Discuss and agree appropriate targets for the year for each athlete
  • Listen to your opinions and feedback
